Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated that the system was freezing up and wasn’t cooling the home. Customers husband changed the filters, washed the condenser coil and made sure it was thawed out before I arrived. She stated that the unit has needed refrigerant added in the past and they believe it probably needs some again. I checked the unit over and did find it low on refrigerant. Went over options with customer and even discussed replacement. Customer is wanting to wait on replacement until they sell another property they own, and just wanted charged in the meantime. I added 2.1lbs of R22 to system to get it cooling properly again. Customer stated that they will reach out when ready to move forward with replacement.
