Arrived for new customer no cool. Spoke with homeowner about systems performance, it’s blowing, but not cooling. Cycled system on at the thermostat. Inspected coil and found evidence of a bad leak at the lineset connection. Coil is badly rusted. Inspected Heat pump. Found compressor pulling a vacuum on the lines. Contactor is badly pitted. Fan and compressor pulling properly amps. Spoke with Homeowner about repair vs replace options. We decided to hold off on repairs for now until we can have a senior tech out to talk about replacement options.
