I arrived for a summer tune up on a new club member. We are using theirs first service as the diagnostic fee on this particular call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system will cool at night but it will heat up during the day. I inspected the system and found the evaporator coil to be clean and rust free. I inspected the condenser and found the coils to be completely stopped up and stone slabs and rocks to be piled up on the access side of the condenser. I removed the stone slabs and rocks and did not put them back due to the slab and rocks blocking the air flow the system needs. I then cleaned the condenser out to the best I could with the low water pressure and long hose line. Once the system was cleaned I cycled the system on and checked its charge. I found the system to be running a little low on refrigerant charge. I made this aware tot he homeowner and explained the leak search and refrigerant charge pricing at this time.
