Came to perform a preventative maintenance on system but also check the system out because it isn’t cooling properly. Customer stated that the system wasn’t coming on outside, but the fan was blowing inside. I checked system over and found the outside system not getting proper 24 volts. Went to the indoor system and found the y leg had come off the control board and wasn’t allowing the AC to come on. I rewired the y leg back into the control board and cycled ac on. Changed filter for customer. Cleaned condenser coil thoroughly. System seemed to be a little louder than normal according to customer. I checked fan motor, compressor, capacitor, contactor and coil. Capacitor is depleted and system was solely running off the hard start kit. Discussed with customer about repair needed and pricing. Customer approved replacement of capacitor. I replaced the capacitor and cycled system on again. Checked amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is now cooling properly within ma
