Came out to call for a free second opinion. Customer stated that the mini split unit doesn’t cool. They had another company out to check it and they said it had too much Freon in it and took some out, but it didn’t fix the issue. I checked the system over and found the filters on the head unit completely clogged, the evaporator coil dirty, and the blower wheel as well. Also found the unit very low on refrigerant. Went over options with customer and what I recommended. Customer approved the cleaning of the evaporator coil and the refrigerant. Customer cleaned the filters off. I cleaned the evaporator coil thoroughly along with the blower wheel. After that, I re-weighed the refrigerant into the system and added 31.8 Oz’s of 410a. Cycled unit on and checked operation. Customer already noticed a significant difference with just how the system was blowing air. I recommended the filters be cleaned regularly and the system be maintained every so often.
