Came out to call for an AC system not cooling properly. Customer stated the temperature in the home kept rising, while the unit was running. I checked the system over and found the condenser coil dirty, and the capacitor bad. I made customer aware that part most likely failed due to a dirty condenser and being under stress. Customer approved replacement of capacitor and washing the condenser coil. I replaced the capacitor and washed the condenser coil thoroughly. Cycled system on and checked operation. Found system running at pressures that were out of range of what the system was calling for. Made customer aware that the system needed to be charged with refrigerant. Customer is considering replacing the unit, so he wanted to hold off on the refrigerant at this time. Gave him an estimate based on what we discussed.
