Great Installation Experience!

It was exciting to get my new Carrier heat pump installed by Jackson & Sons. Juan & Shane did the install and were an outstanding team demonstrating great competence, expertise and efficiency. Juan & Shane were both so friendly and courteous and took time to answer all of my questions and made the whole experience awesome. I am pleased with this new system already and I am confident that Jackson & Sons will keep it running perfectly for me.

Outstanding Service and Teamwork!!

My first experience with Jackson & Sons was awesome. So thankful I gave them a call. All personnel on the phone were courteous and very responsive. After quickly sending me an awesome technician Matthew, I also had the great experience of meeting his field supervisor Bryce who came & together they found the best solution for my heat pump issues. So looking forward to the installation of a great new Carrier heat pump. Bryce was so courteous and helpful. It is great to see such professionalism & teamwork of the staff at Jackson & Sons who truly show they care about their customers and strive to give the best service. So thankful I chose the team of Jackson & Sons to help me.

Outstanding Service!

I am so thankful to find such an awesome friendly & caring company to take care of my heating & cooling needs. I called for the first time & everyone on the phone was so courteous & eager to help me. They responded quickly & sent out an awesome technician, Matthew. He was so thorough and took time to carefully explain all of his findings to me, and worked diligently to provide solutions to all of my heat pump issues. Matthew and all of Jackson & Sons are the best!

Upon arrival tech began replacing evaporator coil. Recovered Freon out. Installed new coil, pressure tested to 330psi, pulled vacuum down to 400 microns. Tech charged system with 13lbs of R410A. System is back operational at this time.

Upon arrival homeowner stated system not cooling. Also heard a loud noise and a burning smell. Tech found failed blower motor, also found burnt wire on capacitor terminal. Tech informed homeowner and would like to have a field supervisor come out tomorrow afternoon. Any time after 12 would be preferred. Collected house call fee for todays visit.

Tech returned to get model and serial number from evaporator coil.

Upon arrival tech was informed indoor coil kept freezing. Tech performed a quick leak search and found the evaporator coil to be leaking. Homeowner approved charging system to get it back cooling. Tech added 5lbs of R410A Freon. Informed homeowner office will need to check warranty status and give pricing for new evaporator coil. System is back cooling at this time.

Upon arrival tech was informed system was not cooling. Inspected system and found compressor was not coming on. Checked line and low voltage at contactor and it was working. Check capacitor and found 50/5 reading 4.11/4.28. Customer approved replacement of dual run capacitor and compressor started running. System is back operational at this time.

System was void of Freon due to blown terminal. Tech flowed nitrogen while brazing in new compressor and new biflow drier in the attic. Added Acid Away to new compressor. Replaced burnt compressor plug. System passed nitrogen pressure test and standing vacuum test. Put warranty label on original compressor. Picture of old and new compressor data tags are on service titan. Tech recharged system with 9 lbs of R410a. Changed blower control board to Y2 for correct airflow. Tested system without any further issues. Full install warranty.o

New carrier split system. Found a blow out on the compressor terminal. A new compressor and terminal harness plug would need to be ordered. System installed in January 2024. System is down for now. Covered under contractor warranty.

FOUND HEAT STRIPS STUCK RUNNING DURING COOLING OPERATION DUE TO FAULTY SEQUENCERS. REPLACED SEQUENCER RACK AND CYCLED WITH NO FURTHER CHALLENGES. MRS. CRAFT APPROVED VIA PHONE. BILLING TODAYS INVOICE. (COMPRESSOR INTERNALS ARE VERY NOISEY/AMP DRAWS SLIGHTLY HIGH. CAPACITOR AND PRESSURES WITHIN SPECS. SYSTEM RUNNING AT THIS TIME. MADE CUSTOMER AWARE OF POSSIBLE FAILING COMPRESSOR INTERNALS.)

Tech installed temporary PSC motor wired to contactor. System is cooling, but not heating. Need to get new ECM for blower to run in heat. ECM blower is ordered.

Tech found blower not running with 27v present at the 2nd speed tap and 246 v present between L and N on the constant torque blower. Blower motor and module will need to be replaced. Customer approved repair.
