Arrived on site to perform an annual tune up on propane boiler. After our initial inspection, we provided an estimate to do the tune up as nothing obvious was found to be wrong. It was accepted. We started by turning gas and power off to the unit to pull and clean the burners. Brushed them with a wire brush to get any rust buildup off. Inspected igniter. Was in good shape. We then put burners back and tested gas pressure. It was right at 10” w.c. Which is right where the boiler wants to be. We then performed a combustion analysis and checked for CO leaks on the venting. Combustion analysis was fine. O2 and CO2 were at fairly similar levels. We did find that the venting had some spots where the piping had cracked a little. We applied high temp silicone to all the joints on the venting to seal them up. CO leak is no longer present. System is operating properly at this time. Due to the age and condition of the heat exchanger, we recommend starting to think about replacing it in the near
