We identified an active leak at the washing machine’s laundry valves and hoses. To resolve the issue, we shut off and drained the home’s water system, removed the existing valves and hoses, discovered and replaced a corroded threaded extension, cleaned and lubricated the valve adapters, installed a new laundry valve, and restored water while purging air from the system. Before installing the new hoses, we cleaned the sediment-clogged washer screens, then tested the appliance through a short cycle to confirm proper operation and verify that no leaks remained. During our initial inspection at the main shutoff, we also evaluated the home’s pressure tank, discussed its condition with the homeowner, and provided replacement estimates for future planning.
