Upon arrival, the customer reported water leaking from the boiler. After inspection, the boiler’s automatic water feeder was found to be the source of the leak. The isolation shutoff valve required to drain the boiler for replacement was also severely corroded. With the customer’s approval, the failed water feeder and the corroded shutoff valve were removed and replaced. All connections were properly sealed and tested. During the system inspection, the expansion tank serving the water heater was found to have failed. With authorization from the customer, the expansion tank was replaced and securely mounted to the wall, tying into the existing piping configuration. Further testing revealed the domestic water pressure was excessively high, fluctuating between 85–90 psi. This indicated the need for a pressure-reducing valve to protect the plumbing and equipment.
