I arrived to do a diagnostic service call the system is bypassing the board so if ac is on and fan is on auto furnace does not come on. I found system to be low on charge by about a pound and filter was extremely dirty possible leak but I'm unsure. I Discussed option with customer and Customer is going to have his usual hvac company come out for installation purpose
I completed the scheduled maintenance agreement cooling tune up on a Five Star 13 SEER 2 Ton Air Conditioner. I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Inspected heat pump. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored system. All operating normally at this time.
I completed a diagnostic on a Carrier 16 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. The filter was replaced before I arrived and I checked the system. I assumed the issue was due to a dirty filter, but the customer said the filter before was not bad. I ran the system for awhile, and everything looked fine. The system was cooling when I left.
