Arrived to remedy an inoperable air conditioning system. Upon inspection of the system found that the furnace was blowing air but it was not being cooled. Inspected the condenser and found the compressor intermittently trying to start. Performed diagnostic and found that the start capacitor had fully failed and the run capacitor was performing well outside factory specifications. With homeowners approval installed a new run capacitor and a new start capacitor. Applied power to the system and measured power consumption of the compressor. The compressor was not drawing excessive amps. Suspect there is still a little life left in the system. Measured a perfect 20 degree temperature split.
