Arrived to AC maintenance. Upon arrival had both systems call for cooling. I first went to the upstairs unit where I found a temp split of 12° (spec is 18-22°) I flushed the condensation drain and replaced the air filter with truck stock. On the downstairs unit the temp split was within spec. Once again I flushed the condensation drain and replaced the air filter. On the outdoor units I found the basement unit performing within spec. The upstairs unit however was low on refrigerant causing to not remove ether amount of heat it is designed to. I went over repair options with the customer including coil replacement, charging the system with refrigerant, and adding leak sealant. As both systems are at the end of their lifespan customer would like to hold off on any more repairs. We will have a comfort specialist out today to quote system replacement.
