Upon arrival spoke with customer. I explained what I would be doing and got started. Switched out fuse and started checking over system. Blower came on, heat strips are working properly. Unit inside came on good. Went outside, contacter and capacitor checked within specs. Fan and compressor amped within specs. Refrigerant levels are within manufacturing specifications. Let system run awhile and house is already up to 68° from 63°. Set for 71°. Customer is happy at this time.

Upon arrival spoke with customer. She showed me the indoor system. Stat was blank and had no 24 v. went to indoor unit and found no high voltage. Found fuse on disconnect had gone bad. Explained we would need to get a price to replace fuse and come back and test the unit further.

I completed a complimentary refrigerant leak search on the system. I found one leak in the suction service valve. The emergency heat amps are 21 on all legs in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The blower amps are 1.4 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. I found multiple wires in the heat pump that have rubbed through the outer jacket and are arcing off the copper lines. The exposed wires are making the heat pump fault randomly. I showed the customer everything I found. The compressor meghommed middle green (good). The 40+5 capacitor is in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The control board is in good condition. The condenser fan amps are .8 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The compressor amps are 6.49 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The system is working at this time but is prone to failure until repairs are completed. The customer requested a quote on a new system since their system is 10 years old and they

upon arrival spoke with customer turned stat on and indoor came on. Coil is very rusted no leaks. Coil is dirty. Blower amped at 1.3amps. Went outside, found capacitor had gone bad. Spoke to customer about issue and he had just had the capacitor replaced. I explained it could be a sign of a bad/failing compressor and would like to get a design consultant to come out and take a look. The customer said he wanted a quick fix one of his buddy’s would fix the system. I got customer approval to replace capacitor. Replaced and started system. Let system run awhile. System has pressures in it but with a dirty coil can’t be sure it’s right. System is working at this time of service. Explained to customer compressor could cause new capacitor to fail like the old one and it would not be covered under warranty and customer understands.

Repairs to attic system only Upon inspection found dual run capacitor 45/5 failed on the herm side @12uF Also found very dirty condenser coil , trip lock on sense core module due to the capacitor failed . Per Shane installed warranty 45/5 dual run capacitor from truck stock. Also system seem to be low on refrigerant, due to outdoor temperatures readings of the pressures is not accurate. Upon further inspection found furnace software outdated, clogged air filter and standing water from unit freezing up due to low refrigerant, air restriction due to dirty air filter and dirty condenser coil. Preventative maintenance is need it for this customer systems ASAP. Acid washed condenser coil ( per Shane ) Replaced dual run capacitor 45/5. Reset trip/lock alert on sense core module. Unclogged drain line. Updated

Water heater inspection. I checked all wiring. All wiring is tight and in good condition. Heating elements are working properly. I drained the water heater. The inside of the water heater is nice and clean. The expansion tank is in good condition. The shut off valve is working properly at this time. The pressure release valve is functioning properly at this time. The water heater filled back up and is heating properly. The system is working properly at this time. The customer is moving soon but may call for one last appointment before the house goes on the market this summer.

The system wasn’t keeping up to the set temperature. I arrived to diagnose the system. I found the refrigerant pressures off. I found the filters dirty. I removed the filters. I recommended replacing them as soon as possible. The evaporator coil is clean. The condenser coil is clean but I gave it a quick rinse. I adjusted the one damper going to the dining room to half open. It was shut off completely. The pressures stabilized at 365/140 in correct range per manufacturer specifications with 10 subcool. The temperature dropped to 71 during the visit which is the customers set point. The 45/5 run capacitor is in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The compressor amps are 6.18 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The condenser fan amps are .63 in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The system is working properly at this time.

Upon arrival both filters where very dirty. Customer is ordering new filters. Downstairs coil is clean, blower is clean and running good, cleaned drain line. Upstairs cleaned drain like, coil and blower are clean. Went outside, found unit downstairs had a bad capacitor. Changed capacitor and started unit, pressures are spot on, all electrical checked out good. System running good. Upstairs system running, all electrical checked out good. Refrigerant levels are spot on. It will take systems awhile to cool down but systems are working at this time. Need to do warranty for a 45/5 capacitor
