Arrived to the customer home and greeted her at the front door. Spoke with the customer about reason for wanting her fire place serviced. Customer led me to the fire place. Began the maintenance of the fire place by removing all wood and cleaning all dust and debris from them and set them aside. Using a brush and vacuum cleaned all debris from inside the cabinet and front. Confirmed gas line and valve were in good condition and working properly. Replaced customer provided AAA battery to allow the spark ignition to work properly. Reinstalled all wood and fired off fireplace and running for several 10 minutes with no concerns found. Found no data plate or sticker to log equipment in notes. Uploaded pics and video from today’s maintenance. Spoke with customer about having an inspection done on her hvac equipment and was told already has another company that services them but doesn’t work on fireplaces. Collected payment and returned system to service

. Upon arrival found system running. Customer said the last couple days it hasn’t been running at all. Turned the thermostat off. Went to indoor unit. The indoor blower was still running. Had no call for the blower from the thermostat. Turned the system to ac. The unit would come on amd then cut off and then came back on again. Found indoor control board going bad. Called mod. Explained to customer that putting a bunch of money into a older system in this condition isn’t the best option. Called mod to quote customer opinions. Mod is set to come out Monday 9-11.
