During my inspection today, the customer greeted me in the driveway. He showed me around all the equipment, including the indoor unit the outdoor unit, the filter and the thermostat. He informed me about what was going on. He said that the low-voltage fuse was popping. I got started on my inspection. I immediately went to the outdoor unit and found that the high-pressure switch wire Was rubbing up against copper and It was shorting out. I gave the customer the option to repair this wire and he did go with that option. I checked the rest of the system out. I found that the evaporator coil was very dirty. I gave the customer the option to clean it he did not go with that option today. I was also going to give the customer the option for the membership but seeing is that the system is dirty. We cannot offer that to him today. The customer said within the next few months he might be able to have the finances together to do this work. He said he does want to get it done. He just has some m

During my inspection today, the customer greeted me at the door. He then allowed me to come inside. He informed me that I would be looking at two systems today. I told him that that would be another diagnostic fee. He did go with that option. I started with the basement system. I found that the system was going out on a high limit. The blower motor was not operating. I could not make it fail again. When I left the system was operational. I am giving the customer the option to replace the blower motor because the bearings are bad the capacitor for the blower motor because it is weak And the control board to ensure we don’t have this issue again. I am also giving him the option to replace the inducer motor because it is amping double the amount the manufacturer recommends. Inspected the upper system. I found that the system had a bad 80/5 capacitor. Give the customer the option to replace. He did go with that option. I then found that the system was not getting a call to the outdoor un

upon arrival was directed to the basement where air handler is. Customer has dogs and advised me not to go upstairs where the thermostat and filters are located. Asked customer to engage the aux heat which kicked on as it should. Each of the legs were amping at 20.00 within correct range per manufacture specifications. When inspecting blower found light dust build up and when testing the amps it was 2.91 which is still within range when inspecting the capacitor for the blower which it is a 10 mfd it read at 7.72 which is below manufacture specifications recommend replacing it. Inspected coil found some debris build up in the top corner of the coil. Asked customer to adjust it back to normal heat. When approaching outdoor could see damage to the coil it had been deteriorating from the dogs urine and has holes through out bottom of the coil. Customer was aware of the systems issues due to financial pressures they were not concerned to fix the system

Upon inspection found: Condenser coil dirty. Compressor pulling 9.5 amps this is the maximum amp draw per manufacturer Mega ohm compressor compressor is bad . System is a little bit low on refrigerant R22. Run capacitor is operating out of manufacturer rage. System is operating but it it prone to failure at anytime due to the state of the compressor and system as a whole.

During my inspection I found that the outdoor condenser fan motor was not running. Upon further inspection I found the capacitor for the unit which was rated at a 40/5 was only putting out 40/0 this was causing the condenser fan not to run. I also checked out the system including the pressures which were 104/232 with a 26° superheat and a 1.8° sub cooling this is being caused because of how dirty the system is including the indoor evaporator coil in the outdoor condenser coil and the indoor evaporator blower motor. I also took amp draws of the outdoor unit starting with the compressor it was 5.8 A and the condenser fan was .9 A. The condenser fan is over amping and will most likely fail very soon my suspicion is is that when the capacitor went out the condenser fan struggled very hard and it put a lot of stress on it which then caused it to be damaged. On the indoor unit I found also that the drain line is clogged this should also be taken care of so that the unit does not overflo
