Performed precision tuneup on American Standard furnace. Cleaned flame sensor. Checked gas pressures. Ensured hot surface ignitor was within range. Installed new air purifier that the customer supplied. Added common wire to smart thermostats. Tested operation by thermostats.
Completed replacement of Bryant air conditioning system in Waltham. Replaced R22 outdoor unit with new R410A outdoor unit. Installed new expansion valve on the indoor unit. Pressure tested to 500 pounds. Evacuated to 500 microns. Started unit. Added 2 pounds of gas. System running well now and cooling home effectively.
Customer in Waltham has issue with no cooling. Checked system, found heat coming on during call for cooling. Traced back to a wiring issue at thermostat. Repaired. Checked refrigerant system outdoor unit running very hot. Performed precision tune up. Added r22 to system. Unit now running okay. Recommend replacement in near future.
