Called about a whole-home humidifier that you installed last summer, and I guess was not tested at time for drips. When the furnace was turned on for the season it had an occasional drip that turned into a major drip with a very wet basement floor. Called about having it repaired and appointment was made for the same day, which was great! Matt showed up and seemed like he was having a bad day and was not happy to be there. He could not understand why the original installation of the humidifier included using the same old corroded water line and no plumbers tape was used which is probably what caused the leak in the first place. He said that he did not have any water line on his truck so he used the same old corroded water line that he just told me should not have been used but he did try and fix the leak with the plumbers tape. Matt was only there for about 5 minutes and when he was done he called somebody on the phone, I am assuming a supervisor, to ask if he should charge me. Whoever he was speaking with said not to charge me, but it really upset me that you would think about charging somebody for a job that wasn't done correctly in the first place. The plumbers tape helped, but I still have an occasional drip.
