Perform survey for new split system unit, coil and furnace. Took measurements of coil and furnace sizes. Measure and verify line set sizes. Will need to add fittings and small amount of pipe. Measure flue pipe. Verify high voltage and low voltage hook ups. Verify gas line size and length. Measure room size, door opening size, flex connection, and outside pad size. Locate disconnect.
Unit not cooling - Found bad 50 amp fuse at disconnect, not allowing voltage through to unit. Replace 50 amp fuse - unit came on, but compressor making really loud noise, then turned off and was really hot. Put gauges on and unit has enough refrigerant. Windings on compressor are going out. Customer will need a new compressor. Quote sent to customer.
No Cooling - Verify fan operation. Open side of coil housing, clean with evaporator coil cleaner and blow out entire coil. Install new tape to secure cut access panel. Clear out condensate line. Wash condenser unit. A lot of dirt inside coils due to icing of coil. Check pressures on system. Add 14 oz. R22 refrigerant.
