Dispatched our Los Angeles County HVAC tech back to a business for approved repairs. Their refrigeration vault needed it's compressor replaced. And pumping down the system and cutting out the old compressor, our technician installed the new part, welding it back in place, replacing wiring and recharging the system. Replaced drier and sight glass as well. Tested all operations, walk-in cooler back online and no more issues to report.

Dispatched our Glendale CA commercial HVAC technician to a bakery in need of water chiller repairs. The system needed a new compressor per customer report. Upon arrival, our technician recovered the refrigerant and installed the new compressor, filter drier and access valves. Pressurized system to test for leaks and found none. After hooking up all electrical components, found the agitator pump was not functional. Customer stated they would take care of that repair themselves. System is off until agitator motor is replaced, but otherwise functional and ready for use once that is complete.

A church in Glendale California reported issues with their commercial chiller system. Upon arrival, our technician found that water pressure in the closed loop too high. Released pressure to proper levels, had to replace gauge as it had blown. Found water make-up turned on, which should only be on during service. Turned off, marked to leave off. Compressor #2 had a refrigerant leak at the connections, king valve on suction side leaking. Repaired, recharged system with refrigerant. Confirmed water out of system was back to 42 degrees. Replaced balcony filters in air handlers, no other items to report at this time.

Our Glendale California commercial HVAC tech returned to a retailer to complete needed repairs. Their VFD in the air handler had gone into alarm due to a high amperage reading. Our technician troubleshooted the low voltage wiring and worked through the VFD settings, finding the parameters off and issues with the wiring. After resolving both issues and resetting the VFD, the technician restarted the unit and confirmed site was cooling again. Checked in with employees to confirm they were comfortable again.

Dispatched one of our commercial refrigeration service techs to a customer in Glendale, CA, to inspect their sandwich case that had been previously repaired by the customer. Found the unit cycling off prematurely after customer replaced the temperature control themselves. Inspected the sensing bulb and found ice build up inside the“well” ( where the sensing bulb of temp control reads the evap temp). The “well” has ice inside of the pipe, causing the refrigerator temperature control to shut off prematurely. This was due to necessary putty on end of well missing, allowing moisture into the pipe and freezing. Tech relocated sensing bulb of temp control and monitored operations. Unit was cycled on and off multiple times. Temperatures are now at 38 degrees and box is functional again. Unit is cycling off correctly at 34 degrees, and turning on again at 40 degrees. Job complete.
