I am out here in Slidell doing a AC clean and check for one of our club members. While checking unit I noticed compressor was pulling 167.3 amps at start up which is very high . The LRA which is locked rotor amps for this unit is 138 . I discussed situation with client and she decided to install a compressor saver ( hard start kit ) on her u it to lower that amp draw . After installing part the compressor is now pulling 52.1 amps at start up which is great . Everything else on the unit is good .
