Customer mentioned unit not keeping up with thermostat on very hot days. Checked temp drop found it at 19 degrees. System Has fixed bore metering device. Filter is clean. Blower is not randomly shutting off. Indoor wet bulb is 74. Entering ambient to unit is 78. Voltage absorption system is good. Found distribution center with contacts badly pitted and burned. Coil is very dirty on unit. Found refrigerant charge low and dirt on coil keeping pressure high enough to achieve some cooling. Unit is 34 years old. Offered options for charging unit with refrigerant and offered option for an estimate to replace. Customer would like to have an estimate. Scheduled Wednesday the 22nd at 8am.
