2010 carrier air conditioner. Found condenser fan motor failed due to open windings. Compressor had run without the fan for a long period of time. Recommended adding performance kit to assist compressor on start up. This will reduce inrush current and extend compressor life. Went over options on hc8. Chose hc8b. Replaced failed motor, updated voltage enhancing system for fan. Installed performance enhancing kit for compressor. 50 amps for compressor start up and sounds very good when running. Temp split is 18 degrees. All okay at this time.
