Eric Merson is an excellent technician. He and his partner came to get the house ready for A/C check and set the thermostat at the temp I wanted for summer time. Changed the air filter. I told him I wish there were other longer lasting filter because every 3 mos. I had to pay #69 for changing the tilter, wasn't happy about it! He showed what can be done but it is something I can't afford. He understood, didn't pressure me to get this done. He is the kindest, caring, tech I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I mentioned I should have the air ducts cleaned again, he said we do that too! I checked the invoices the last time that was done was in summer of 2017. by Sierra Air. I joined the home care club in mid 2017 with very small monthly dues. I am happy I did but at time very few techs i met wasn't very impressive, almost thought of cancelling the contract. The way Eric took care of A/C set up and very dependable, caring and kind service changed my mind. I will stay as a member. Sierra Air should be proud to have him represent their company. That's why the 5 star.

The guys that came out were friendly, but I have a few recommendations that I would have liked to have seen in order to rate my satisfaction higher. First, I would recommend that the technicians thoroughly describe the work that is going to be done. This is an expensive service, and I would have felt more comfortable if they would’ve explained everything, so that I could feel reassured that what was told to me on the phone is what was going to be done that day, since they were different people. When they arrived they just said they were there for a duct cleaning. I had to ask what was going to be done, and it was at that time that it was explained. It should not be that way. The sanitation service was not explained as part of the service at all by the tech, but was explained on the phone, which gave me some trepidation that it was even completed at all. Of course, once I asked if there would be a sanitation service, the technician said yes. Still, I was not confident (As a consumer, I know absolutely nothing about the machines they are using, and I’m sure this is the case with most, if not all, Sierra Air customers). I was very disappointed that after the dryer vent was cleaned out, they left all of that lint out in our yard. At the time of payment, I asked to receive an invoice because I like to see the work that was completed in an itemized fashion. Unfortunately all it says is ‘duct cleaning’. Furthermore, I had to ask if the $59 off coupon applied. The technician said it was, but the receipt does not reflect that at all. Again, better communication would have made our experience much better as a first-time customer.
