Repair: found breaker at unit in off position upon arrival. Reset breaker and system operated normally. System achieving 18 degree temperature split in heat and 17 degree split in cool.
inspection: the air handler is functioning, but there are deficiencies with the system. There are wires to the heat kit that are starting to char and spark. This can lead to the heat kit failing or causing the breaker to trip and damage the unit. The indoor system is 25 years old. The outdoor unit is 10 years old. Recommend replacement due to age of the system.
AC repair: unit was 1 lb low on R22 refrigerant. Capacitor for the blower motor was out of range. Capacitor for outdoor unit was very Rusty and going out of range. Evaporator coil had blockage of dirt and dust. Recommend cleaning coil with chemical cleaner, replacing indoor and outdoor capacitors, charging system with 1 pound R22 refrigerant and performing Leak search to find source of leak. System has been charged with refrigerant, capacitors have been replaced, an evaporator coil has been cleaned. System is achieving 15 degree temperature split which is in range at this time. No Leak search was performed.
Ac repair: units contactor was bad and bunt out the transformer. Replaced contactor and transformer. Unit is now operating with a 17 degree split. Recommended looking into replacement options for the future.
Ac repair: float switch was tripping due to drain line clogged. Unit is an air handler and it’s exhaust stack on the drain line after the p trap was cap and it should not be. Blew out drain line poured drain solve and a gallon of water as well to clear out the lines. Un capped the exhaust vent after the p trap as well. Unit is now running properly at this time.
Ac repair: unit was not running on arrival. After looking over system notice thermostat was bad and had blown fuse. Checked control wire to verify noting was shorted and got it was not. Replaced thermostat and got system running with a 15.4 split.
AC Repair: condenser fan motor is pulling higher than normal amps, likely the cause of the loud noise. Recommend replacing the condenser fan motor. System is 16 years old. Achieving a 17 degree temperature split.
AC Repair: This is a fireplace application, we do not have the expertise to repair this fireplace. Attempted to relight the pilot, but pilot would not stay lit.
Run capacitor on the condensing unit is outnof range. Replace dual run capacitor. System is cooing normally. Achieving a 17 degree temperature split.
