Quick response, honest

Inspected systems for heat maintenance inspected system for heating operation verified proper order of operation. Tested and documented water pressure and temp. Found units low on psi. Filled both systems to 60 psi. Documented all amp draws and voltages. Units running heat properly. Job complete

On arrival found unit locked out on e3, found condensate pump not operating and gfi was tripped. Reset gfi, tested pump/drain/system, unit operating normal. Customer signed up for service Agreement.

I cleaned the condensate pans and drain lines and flushed with hot water to remove debris and to make sure they were draining properly. I operated each unit on second stage cooling and confirmed/ set the proper flow rate and confirmed heat of rejection and delta temperatures across the coil. The filters were in very good condition. I checked the electrical wiring and electrical systems, all were within specification except for the run capacitor for each unit. I replaced these and retained the original ones to return to WF. I recommended installing Intellistart Modules on each unit to help protect the compressors. Customer asked me to email a quote. Both units are operating normal.

Found unit #2 with a blown fuse . Isolated the air handler and tested it . Then I isolated th airhandler with the thermostat and tested it . Then I added the safety switch and tested . Then I added the out door stat wire and it blew the fuse . Then I removed my wire from outdoor and tested and no short . So our low voltage short is located in outdoor . I looked over wires and did not see any burn marks but because of the snow falling I could not go into detail . Costumer has heat with Aux and we will need to come back to correct the short in the outdoor. Spoke with Alex and he said no charge for my visit but when we come back everything will be billable and I made costumer aware of this .

Fix wiring short. Unit #3 had a low voltage wiring short on the high pressure switch wire caused by an evaporator coil bracing bracket coming loose and falling on the wire bundles beneath it. There was only one wire that was damaged. I cut out the bad part and used a crimper tool to fix and then used electrical tape to insulate from weather. Unit operating normal. Customer also had a blown control fuse on unit #2. I replaced the fuse and used every technique to find a short but I could not. The system cycled in heat, auxiliary heat and defrost mode normal. I charged additional diagnostic time for this unit.

Fall pm on 12/20/18 On arrival set units to call for heat measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain and cleaned checked filters and replaced units operating normal at this time.
