Working on the customer's Frigidaire. Found a refrigerant leak, replace a seal, good as new.
"I'm at this customer's home in Pickerington to check out his non-working Carrier furnace.
I performed a diagnostic on a Trane AC unit. I found that the control board needed replaced. Due to the age and condition of the unit the customer decided to go forward with replacing the unit. Scheduled for install of a Carrier 96% 60,000 BTU Gas Furnace and Carrier 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner.
I installed a Five Star 80% Gas Furnace (Up to 1000,00 BTU). I cycled and monitored system and it is operational at this time.
I installed a Five Star 13 SEER 3 Ton Air Conditioner. I cycled and monitored the system and it is operational at this time.
I installed a Five Star 13 SEER 3.5 Ton Air Conditioner. I cycled and monitored the system and it is operational at this time.
I completed a diagnostic on an AC unit. I found there was no filter, so I added one. I also found the unit to be low on coolant. I added 1 pound of coolant and I ran the unit. The system is operational at this time.
I installed a Five Star 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner at the customer's home. I cycled and monitored the system and it was operational at the time of departure.
I completed a diagnostic service call on an air conditioner. Upon inspection, found failed furnace circuit board, a/c cooling, not sending voltage to blower. Jumped blower for continuous airflow, cleaned outdoor coil. A/C will be ready to cool in one hour.
I did an install for a Carrier 16 Seer 3.5 ton air conditioner, a Carrier "Infinity Series" 80% 2 stage variable speed 90,000 BTU gas furnace, and a Honeywell T6 programmable thermostat/Emerson 1F85U.
I performed a diagnostic service call because the a/c was not cooling the customers house as it should have been. When arriving to the service call I discovered that the condenser coil was a bit dirty and there was brush growing over the unit. After making a few changes the system was operational at departure.
I did a diagnostic on unit and found breaker for outdoor unit trips instantly. The compressor shorted to ground, wires were melted. Also found signs of a leak, evaporator coil leak likely. Based on system age, condition (25 years old) and not in good shape, recommended to consider replacement. Condenser fan has been replaced with a universal motor it needs an OEM motor. Discussed options with customer.
Upon arrival homeowner said system wasn't getting rid of the humidity in the house. Ran diagnostic, system was running, outdoor coil was dirty and the system needed refrigerant. Cleaned outdoor coil and added .8 ounces of R-22 to the system and finished testing System cooling properly upon departure.
