Cody identified the problem almost immediately and had the right part along with him. It took maybe a half hour to turn the heat back on. Can't ask for better than that!

I completed a Half Install of a Five Star 80% Gas Furnace (Up to 100,000 BTU). The system is operational upon departure.
Upon arrival I completed a Full Install of a Five Star Electric Furnace (Up to 100,000 BTU) Honeywell T10 Programmable Thermostat; Five Star 14 SEER Heat Pump (Up to 3 ton). The system is operational upon departure.
After removing the American Standard gas furnace and air conditioner, I installed a Five Star 80% 90,000 BTU Gas Furnace 3.5T 17" and a Five Star 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement.
I completed the scheduled maintenance agreement cooling tune up on a Carrier air conditioner. I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Inspected heat pump. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored system. All operating normally at this time.

I completed a diagnostic on a Carrier Gas Furnace. I recommend that due to the age, condition and cost of repairs (seen and unseen) that the unit be replaced.
