Took a look at this chimney in Enfield CT and found that the Top of the Chimney Had Sulfuric Acid and Structural Damages Developing Down to the Roofline. Performed a roof up rebuild, including flashing, cap, and crown.
Customer had spalling and popped brick on chimney. The chimney was originally built with a dutch colonial brick which is notorious for this exact issue. We tore the chimney down, relined it and rebuilt it with a severe weather brick made for new england weather patterns.
