Installed customer’s starter. Tested generator. Generator starts, runs, and transfers power. Customer supplied part but is responsible for labor.
Starter on generator is to blame for the no start. Service was done at 78.1 hrs based on information on oil filter. Generator has 79.4 hrs currently. After clearing alarm, I hooked up meter to signal wire on starter. Starter received 12v signal but failed to turn over. On the 3rd attempt it started. After it started once it continued to started every time. Starter will need to be replaced to remedy the intermediate no start issue. Customer is going to purchase starter and have us replace it.
Attempted to update firmware, the control panel froze up, did a hard reset of gen, was able to preform firmware update
REPLACED STARTER UNDER WARRANTY. GENERATOR IS NOW OPERATING PORPERLY.
