I needed a pair of lamps hung from the ceiling above a staircase. It was a particularly tricky thing to do because the wires needed to be run up the wall and the staircase itself is pretty long / narrow and the ceiling very high. Dan and Carl from Early Bird were more than up to the task - they constructed a scaffolding inside the stairwell and (almost miraculously) didn't scuff or scrape a single bit of paint off the whiles while doing so. They installed a light switch on the inside of the opposite room so that I could easily turn the lights on without having to mess with switches on the lamps themselves. They were extremely attentive and professional at all stages of the process, and really went above and beyond to ensure that the finished product looked as good as possible. I can't say it was a budget friendly operation, but I can say it was executed to a very high standard. I would definitely use Early Bird again!

In June of 2019 I had David to my condominium for his consultation on what electric modifications would be needed to change from a small tank to a tankless electric water heater. He was very professional and gave me the proper advice and necessary work to make a code-compliant modification. His advice informed my decision on what model/capacity to purchase. David told me the trip fee for his consultation would be credited towards my future bill when I decided to proceed with the work--he quoted me a price and told me that regardless of what they found, they would not exceed that estimate. The service was easy to schedule--EarlyBird has online scheduling and they pick up the phone if you'd like to speak with someone (Abby) live. When my technician--Drew--arrived, he was friendly and approachable. He found a legal parking space and thoroughally assessed the circuit panel and compared it to the job notes from Dave's estimate. He got some more items from his service truck and shortly after his colleague Bryan arrived to help--they were both able to install a new 240v breaker, run flex into the nearby cabinet for the new water heater, and removed the old non-compliant wiring. They swept up afterwards and were done in about half the time that David quoted during his estimate. The job was quite professionally done--everything looks finished and they took the waste material with them. The bill was slightly less than the estimate and all of the staff I interacted with treated me with courtesy. Mark (the owner) even met with Drew and Bryan outside to make sure they had the materials needed for their days' work.

What a wonderful easy team to work with! They were very helpful in finding solutions to stay within my budget and efficient. I had a time crunch and they were able to come in the week I called. Two of my nine light fixtures didn’t come in time and they came back at no extra charge to install these for me. All light fixtures were delicate and they took extra precautions and made the situation easy and stress free. I’ll definitely be hiring them for future projects!

Dan has been making annual visits for probably a dozen years or more. He's always friendly and attentive to my questions and concerns. He has a great sense of humor, too. I've learned a lot about my house from Dan, and it's definitely a better maintained home because of his skill and professionalism. I always ask for Dan. This year I had more difficulty scheduling with Dan. I asked for him and even provided the last name, but the scheduler seemed to be working way too fast and said someone else was coming. I told her I had asked for Dan specifically. I also was called the day of the appointment and requested to accept a different electrician. I ended up rescheduling so I could stick with Dan. People are always calling from the office with requests to switch to a different electrician who happens to be "available." That's why I rated the experience 4-star, but Dan is definitely a 5 star electrician.
