Customer just purchased home, his home inspector said everything was ok, but the inspector for citizens insurance discovered the main 100 amp fused disconnect had THREE conductors on each of the lugs on the load side. One is feeding the original indoor panel, the second set goes to the adjacent outdoor panel which feeds the outdoor a/c condensing unit and the a/c air handler in the attic. The third set, which has been inserted into the original rear exiting conduit along with the original indoor cloth covered panel feeders, some how makes its way to a 100 amp disconnect in the garage, which currently has nothing connected to it, and which the current owner says he has no use for, and therefore could be removed. I presented options to replace the old disconnect and outdoor panel with a new feed-through panel, with options to replace the indoor panel at the same time, along with upgrading the 3-prong range circuit to a 4-prong, and also the option of a surge package.
