Today we arrived we found two service wires that were cut in the ground by a trencher. It was the ground and neutral wires. The ground wire was totally broken, and the neutral wire was nicked pretty bad where you could see the wire through the insulation. We fixed both of the wires with underground heat shrink lug kits. While we were here, we also found a major problem in the outside electrical panel, which is attached to the meter base basically serving as a disconnect for both the house and the backyard building. The service wire is coming out of the meter base going into the weather rated electrical panel was only good for 100 A. You have a 100 amp breaker feeding power inside the house and also another hundred amp breaker feeding power to the building in the backyard.
