First, the work that they did was excellent. We are very happy with the fence when it was all complete. We did have one hiccup though, but the response from Texas Best Fence was great. The installer that was building our fence had their auger blow, shooting oil all over our pool equipment and on the side of our house. Unfortunately, they did not notify us about the issue, and we discovered it the following day. We notified Andrea and she immediately came over and notified her office. They sent two of their people out to try to get the oil off of the house and pool filter. By that point, the oil had sunk into the brick. They dispatched two different cleaning companies that tried power washing with a degreaser and a scrubbing with mineral spirits, but that didn’t work. One of the owners, Jay, came out to evaluate and after one last attempt the oil splatter returned. At this point, the only thing left would be to rebrick it, or build a fence to cover the pool equipment and hide the stain. They offered to rebrick, but we knew we would never get a match. Instead, we worked out some additional work that we had previously had been quoted, and they built a lattice around the equipment so we could grow some vines to cover the stain. All in all, we were happy with the agreement and we absolutely love our fence. In construction, things happen. The installer should’ve let us know immediately about the issue, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. That said, we appreciate Texas Best Fence doing their best to fix the issue. That’s something you want from a company that you’re looking to do business with.
