12yr Hydrostatic Test Past Due: (1) Ansul 4.5-Gallon System (2009,2010 Manufacture Date) (Cartridge Needs Replaced) During your most recent Fire Protection Inspection, our technicians noted that one or more of your Fire Suppression Tanks are due for a hydrostatic test per: NFPA 17A: 7.5.1 The following parts of wet chemical extinguishing systems shall be subjected to hydrostatic pressure testing at intervals not exceeding 12 years: Wet Chemical Containers Auxiliary Pressure Containers Hose Assemblies Fire Suppression Tanks are required to be pressure tested using water or some other non-compressible fluid to help prevent unwanted failure or rupture of the cylinder. NFPA 17A also requires the replacement of the cartridge used to expel suppression chemical hoses, o-rings, and burst discs. The proposal below is all-inclusive and includes all parts and labor.
