The kitchen hood suppression system in place for Applebees Seekonk recently had a semi-annual service performed that brought to light certain system matters. The current system is an old style PyroChem no longer produced or supported by the manufacturer. This means that parts are no longer manufactured when service is needed and when these systems come due for the 12 year service an upgrade is required. Although the upgrade would not be needed until 2023, the current nozzle condition would call a proposed compliance solution. Griddle is not properly protected is under a salamander with nothing aimed under it. Salamander is not properly protected, wrong nozzle and would need additional nozzles due to size. We were unable to check duct nozzle due to it being to caked up with hard grease. Replacement nozzles no longer available and an upgrade deadline approaching we have created the below proposal.
