Gate nonstop opening and closing. Gate was showing reversal via photo eyes. Noticed damage to the eyes and the bracket is loose and broken (see pics) I wedged some cardboard behind it to help it out and backed off hydraulic pressure but since these motors have to hit the post it still intermittently reverses. Will need new photo eyes for sure, but also we will be recommending new operators as the maintenance has had alot of troubles with these operators.
Had to completely disassemble the faac actuator to get to the threaded tailstock which had sheared, then cut it shorter, easy out the broken portion, clean the threads, and reassemble the actuator.
