Service SUCKS!

Tech finally called at 8:10 pm. Service window was between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. I called three times after 7:30 and received NO call back to keep me informed of when tech would arrive. I will never use GDM and will tell all friends and family to not ever give you guys any business.

Part didn't come in till 430pm. Arrived onsite at 5pm. Installed CPI card and gate malfunctioning even more. By adding the client card we added a device drawing voltage. Took device off and issue went away to normal operation. Tested 3 phase incoming power and we have 206VAC. Tested the 24VAC terminals going into the board from the transformer and had a resting 22VAC and under load it has 20.7VAC. This indicates a pre-existing bad transformer that is now on the edge of supplying enough power to motor. Thus the intermittent failure in both up and down motor directions. The devices added to make gate automated for cars don't draw enough power to normally affect the motor operation. The transformer output should normally be about 27VAC. We will need to order the transformer and disconnect power while doing so. No service disconnect so the breaker must be turned off while working. We HIGHLY recommend having a 3 phase service disconnect on the wall installed before the motor. This is not

Added kickers and did tune up on one piece wooden garage door. Also programmed three remotes and lubricated hinges and opener rail. Adjusted sensors and cleaned of lens.

Door is a bit heavy from halfway up. Needs new springs soon. Also garage door opener motor is 1/3 hp. Needs a 1/2 hp or greater chain drive recommended. Garage door was dropping halfway. Added more force and adjusted limits so cable did not have so much slack. Also sold and installed new rollers. Included tune up and lubrication.

I tried to get into vaulted garage, there is no vault release. Aubrey told me that the complex uses there maintenance guys and she wants to cancel. I tried to get ahold of Susan to see about what to do, and got no answer.

Rewired wall button to Liftmaster wire. Previous wiring was not getting a good connection. Please be sure to check sensors in the future if problems persist. No charge today.

Installed new service box. Only able to move one of the receivers over to new box due to the other receiver being soldered to the coaxial antenna. Will be leaving new estimate for commercial external receiver to get rid of older piggybacked receivers. Will require new remotes that operate the gate only. Gate working well after service today. Lubricated all parts and safeties. Customer forgot his credit card and had to leave at 5pm. Accounting to follow up for payment in full.

No charge today. Cable popped off drum on one side of garage door. We put in springs April 2019. Motor just worked on July 2020. Recall August 2020. Put cable back on and made some adjustments on track and door. Garage door is currently working fine.

Upon inspection, this door is rubbing on itself as it articulates through the track radius. This should not happen. It has worn through the manufacturer’s baked on enamel, and subsequently, the panels need to be replaced. If not, they are going to rust through causing complete door failure. This should not have happened. There is no evidence of abuse, or neglect.

Previous tech from another company put 207-20-1 3/4 springs which were too hot for a Wayne dalton foam core 15’6” door no windows. Springs were causing a lot of slack. Changed out springs and balanced door properly and included tuneup and lubrication service.

Bolts fell out of door. Added larger lags and tightened all bolts and nuts on wooden sectional garage door. Also saw that header 2x4 had pulled from the wall causing opener to bounce during operation. Added new lags and reattached wood to give opener needed support. Included tune up and lubrications service. Older Genie garage door opener does not have safety sensors or cover. Circuit board is exposed and dangerous if touched. Recommend chain drive Liftmaster unit which is better suited for current wooden garage door.

Warranty evaluation. Customer had limits not working again. Pics on file are to identify operator. Reset limits and door runs well again. If issue happens again we will see if board replacement is available. If not then the only alternative is motor replacement. No charge today per tech.

This store is losing its seal between the panels because the door is flopping. It needs to have struts put on it in the future
