An active leak and possible organic growth was found at the ceiling in the garage by the water heater. The leak was confirmed to be coming from the upstairs hall bathroom tub not from the water heater.

A number of open wire splices in the attic are a safety concern. Wire splices should join in junction boxes with covers as required. Poor wiring was also noted with unsecured wires. A number of trip hazards should be corrected to avoid injury.
A toilet at an Alpine home was found to have hot water supplied to the hall bathroom toilet. This would have gone unnoticed if not for the use of the thermal camera. Hot water supplied to a toilet is non standard and could run the gas bill up.
