Was very helpful explaining what the problem was and showing me how to fix the problem.
I've used G&S for my HVAC needs for the past few years and just renewed my annual maintenance contract. Whether for emergency service or run of the mill maintenance I've always found the service outstanding and the employees (techs and dispatch alike) friendly and helpful.
They are very easy to work with. Very punctual and professional.
Highly recommended, Ryan is very professional. He called ahead of time to provide time of arrival. Provide a very honest recommendation and suggestion, which really build trust in me to stick with GS for future work and maintenance.
Willie called ahead of time, arrived on time, and diagnosed our problem rapidly. He clearly has excellent skills, not only technically but also with regard to customer interaction. A pleasure to work with.
All my comments here relate to my experience with Allen. Allen is a very knowledgeable technician who ensures that the work he does is accurate and complete. He was patient enough to let me stay in the garage with him and answered all my questions. The company is fortunate to have Allen as a technician. Note in the following ratings, I assume that the cost of labor is not set by Allen, but by the company. Also as a note--when a customer needs a furnace repair in winter, G&S should order parts with overnight or at least 2-day shipping to get heat back to customers as soon as possible.
G&S Service is good, and the installation performed on a Lennox high-efficiency furnace 3 years ago was a neat installation (far better than a prior installation by a company from Redmond WA). My beef though is with Lennox, who apparently produced a furnace with a defective design on a pressure switch, necessitating a replacement within 3 years of the new furnace installation. It is apparently a known issue with thousands of premature switch failures. Okay, I expect some issues after 10-15 years, but at 3 years, a brand-new unit should still be performing flawlessly, especially on a furnace that has been professionally serviced annually by G&S. Despite purchase of an extended service plan (about $150 per year - even when combined with a service visit!) - this repair cost $140 for the technician time (total of just over $300 with tax on a 3 year old furnace for an annual inspection/cleaning + the pressure switch repair. Too much maintenance cost for a nearly new unit in my opinion. Not a fault of G&S particularly, but of Lennox!
I was very pleased with Allen, my tech for a furnace service. Looking forward to having him out for yearly inspections and servicing!
