Water heater was recessed in the laundry closet next to the washer dryer unit. Techs disconnected and pulled out the laundry combo unit in order to work on the water heater. Water to the unit was then shut off and drained prior to disconnecting the old water heater and draining down the tank. A new Bradford white “lowboy†installed in place of the old unit. The old gate valve for the shut off was cut out and a new ball valve was installed as well as the fitting to the water heater. Water was then restored to the unit and air bled from the lines. Once the water heater was pressurized tech could confirm that no leaks were present and the unit was in turned on to ensure that it was properly working.
