Customer showed tech to utility closet, that was on the second floor, in the back bedroom area. He explained that a different company had been out here, and they had replaced the T&P valve for the hot water heater. Customer explained that he was informed the drain pan Drainage line was backed up, as well as in need of repair due to previous installer nicking the pipe with a saw during water heater instal. Tech covered the cut in the pipe and tested for drainage finding that there was no issues with the drain. Water that had been holding in the pan was below the drain pipe and residual from Faulty temperature and pressure valve. Tech reset unit and turned down the temp setting to 120, upon warm-up tech observed a small leak coming from the T&P valve at the thread. Tech explained to the customer that there was still a leak and he needed to pull out the T&P valve to diagnose why it was leaking from the threads.
