technician arrived, pulled laundry unit out of closet. Upon shutting off laundry valves it was brought to the tax attention that the laundry water supply shut off valve had gone bad, customer opted for replacement. While attempting to turn off the valve for the water service line coming into the unit, the old gate valve would not seal properly. Water was shut off at the curb key and the old gate valve was cut out and a new ball valve was installed. Old water heater was powered down and drain, prior to cutting and removing unit. A new Bradford white 40 gallon electric lowboy water heater was installed and piped in. Water to the unit was turned back on and all fixture where inspected for leaks and functions, there are no issues at this time.
