Ace Pelizon Plumbing checked for leaks on the water main service outside. There is moisture in the water meter box but no water is surfacing. Checked for moisture in planter area and that soil is dry. Existing 1 inch galvanize water main is leaking under the city sidewalk. Would need to remove section of sidewalk to either make repair or replacement. Due to the age of the existing galvanized pipe, we are recommending replacing the existing water main. Will need to contact the City of Glendora to check on permit costs to remove city sidewalk. Called Rick and explained the situation, will call Monday with proposals for replacement. Today's service will be deducted from the water main replacement job if work is completed before the end of the year.
