Nick arrived at Jai’s home to do a 65 pint inspection. Nick started in the hall bath with the bathroom fixtures and found them to be working properly. Nick moved to the toilet with a dye test and checked the operation of handle. The fill valve and flush valve and flapper seem to be in working order. Nick then checked the rear bath and found no issues with any fixtures. Nick tested the water hardness and found the newly installed softner to be working perfectly. Nick moved on to the utility closet and found the main shut off to be needing some attention for piece of mind Nick recommended it be replaced in case there was an emergency with the plumbing system.Nick explained to Jai the importance of have a proper functioning main shut off valve. Nick found the temperature set at 125 for the water heater the flue is in good shape. The gas valve for the unit is older but functional. Nick went to the kitchen and found the angle stops to be in poor condition and recommended replacement. A

Technician Mike preformed an annual plumbing inspection. The areas of concern are as follows. 1. The shut off valve for the hallway bathroom toilet is very aged and shows signs of water damage. Bruce also brought up that the shut off for the master bathroom toilet is hard to turn. 2. The lavatory sink in the hallway bathroom does not have shut off valves. This was shown and explained to Bruce. He has no interest in shut off valves for that sink. 3. Remember to flush your water heater once a year to prolong the life of the unit. It was recently flushed by Spartan. 4. After Spartan preformed work in the slab of the home, the floor duct by the back door no longer has air flow coming through it. Mark was contacted and this was explained to him as well. Spartan will be out after the first of the year to run a camera through the duct to see what may be causing this. Quotes for the two toilet shut off valves were emailed to Bruce. Thank you for choosing Spartan as your Professional H

Vicky and David called us out for a leak on their washing machine box valves. They just got a new washer and dryer, so they are wanting to take care of this asap. The leaking did cause some water damage and wall staining. We highly recommend to have a water clean up specialist evaluate the current state of the water damage. We recommend a new laundry box with valves as a fix for today. We also noticed that for water emergencies, the water has been getting turned off at the meter pit. We are going to recommend to install a new easy turn ball valve for inside their house so nobody has to do this. In order for this repair to happen we will need to disconnect the furnace gas supply lines and the no functioning water softener. They are highly interested in removing the water softener. They chose to wait on the main valve and focus on option 2 for today. Install a new laundry box for your laundry room. The new laundry box will be sealed and screwed to the wall. We will remove the old box a

Marina had us out for a leaking tub spout. Upon inspection I found the tub spout to be broken at the diverter. I mentioned this could be because of hard water build up. After doing a hardness test, the hardness was at 7GPG which isn’t extremely hard so a water softener is optional. Unfortunately their current softener is in a tight location and a new one would not be possible without redoing a majority of their plumbing system and HVAC furnace PVC piping. Marina also mentioned a faucet having low water pressure and a toilet bubbling when flushed. The faucet most likely just needs its aerators cleaned. The toilet most likely needs replaced because it is an old style Mansfield’s toilet and those tend to have flushing problems with their jets. I installed a new tub spout. Did a test for leaks and no leaks were found.

Upstairs bathtub drain slowly. Tech believes it’s hair in the line. Recommends snaking to drain better. Also downstairs in the basement bathroom the toilet and standing shower do not drain. Upon further investigation the tech found sewage coming from floor drain in basement. Tech believe this is a main line clog issue. Recommends snaking to get the line open. Update: tech removed toilet ran cable machine through toilet flange. Temporarily restored flow to main drain. Once open tech used camera to inspect drain. Drainage system is open and working properly. No issues found. Tech reset toilet. Tech used cable machine on upstairs tub. Pulled out hair ball causing the tub to drain slow. Tub is now draining to full capacity 7 day warranty on main drain and tub drain.

Client would like a full Spartan vision inspection. They have had clogs in the past and would like it looked at. Sewer is 55’ long and 11’ deep. Massive root intrusion through out the entire outside sewer. Inside pipe has scale and sludge debris on the pipe. A jetting should clear this debris out.
