Customer contacted John the Plumber because she has polybutylene waterlines throughout the home and she needs them replaced. Customer recently purchased the home and upon inspection, the inspector told her that she would have no issues with the polybutylene pipes and unfortunately, a month after closing, her insurance company dropped her and told her she needs to have them replaced. Technician will write up an estimate for a whole home re-pipe. Customer would like to get this work done before the beginning of October.
Upon arrival the homeowner told me that the dishwasher had leaked out water onto the kitchen floor while they weren’t using it. I ran the dishwasher and didn’t see anything leaking from the dishwasher. I did see that the existing hose had a small leak close to the zip tie underneath the sink. After replacing the hose I ran the rinse cycle on the dishwasher and saw no signs of any leaks. After running the dishwasher and it drained there was no standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher.
Upon arrival for the recall, customer informed me that there was a leak from the heater that was getting into her carpet and it was a pretty substantial leak. As soon as I received the call, I was dispatched to her house to try and solve the problem. When I arrived, I noticed that The three-quarter ball valve and the 90 had a pinhole leak that was leaking under pressure pretty substantially. The leak went down and overflowed the pan, which also got into the carpet. After draining the heater down and removing it by unswayed the fittings and re-solder the entire system. I waited for an hour while the heater was under pressure and I turned down the temperature 5° there were no leaks and Entrusted was contacted.

Upon arrival, the homeowner had a newly delivered refrigerator that required connection to the existing water supply line, including the installation of a dedicated shut-off valve. Upon inspection of the plumbing under the kitchen sink, it was noted that the existing angle stops were aged and in poor condition. I recommended replacement to ensure proper function and to mitigate potential future leaks. Additionally, an inspection of the existing water heater revealed that it was outdated and in need of replacement to comply with current insurance requirements. After presenting the homeowner with a detailed estimate, she approved the proposed scope of work. The following services were completed: -Installation of a new shut-off valve for refrigerator water line -Replacement of three old emergency (angle) stops under the kitchen sink -Removal and disposal of existing water heater -Installation and wiring of a new water heater per code After installation, the main water supply was re

Upon arrival the homeowner showed me the mop sink in the laundry room that was leaking from the hot side supply line that connected to the faucet. The homeowner had a new faucet. After evaluating everything I found that there were no emergency stops for the hot and cold side water supply lines. Also the p-trap going to the wall was old copper. I provided an estimate to replace everything for the mop sink. The homeowner agreed to move forward with the estimate. After replacing everything and installing the new faucet I turned the water back on to test for leaks. There are no leaks and everything is functioning properly.
