Arrived to the home, client had just recently nought their home and were hearing noises in the just the downstairs powder room only, as if water was draining under the sink. I looked under the sink and discovered a Dw tailpiece that accents the condensate from the 90% efficient furnace in the basement. Gave client a complete anatomy lesson on the differences and how a 90% efficient furnace will condensate in both the summer and the winter. Other than it becoming an annoyance, this type of set up is code compliant. Will leave a cost to relocate the condensate line direct to the main building drain.
