Keith York (Canton office), has been to my house to fix my plumbing problems, on 3 occasions. I have been more than satisfied with Keith's demeanor, his plesantness and patience as he answered all my question and the quality of his work and job ethics. I am also pleased by Plumbing Professor in their ability to schedule my appointments to fit my needs. Your office staff is courteous. You are my go- to plumbing company and I have recounted my excellent experience to friends and neighbors. Thank You. Katherine Poree. 1722 Stephens Dr. Ypsi., 48198
Dan does suburb work. I have worked with him two times in the last few months. His ability to analysis a situation and solve the problem is very impressive. I highly recommend Dan and Plumbing Professors.
I called at 7:00AM and my sewer was snaked out by 9:00.
Great service, kept up to date on arrival to do job, notified me when delayed'
I deliberately waited to respond to this survey because I wanted to make sure that the job was completed to my satisfaction and if it wasn't, then I wanted to be able to express my DISsatisfaction. Unfortunately, dissatisfaction is the end result. I originally called your company because my kitchen sink was plugged and I was also interested in having a shower head repaired. The plumber (Keith) who came out gave me a quote of $140 to fix the sink and $400 to fix the shower head. Even though I felt both prices were excessive, I accepted the price for the sink but declined the price for the shower head. It only took about 20-30 minutes for him to (open the pipe below the sink, snake it, and remove the clog to) unstop the sink. I asked if he could fix a problem that I was having with the toilet in the main bathroom--it routinely flushes on its own. Keith looked at it and said that he prefers to replace both the fill valve and the flapper. He gave me a cost of $40 which I agreed to. He went to his truck and came back with the replacement parts which he installed. When I was ready to give him a check, I looked at the bill again and I saw that he had changed the price for the sink and the toilet ($140 became $148 & $40 became $48. These two 8's are made totally differently from the other 8's on the page. I didn't say anything at the time because my son (who is very protective of me) was here and I didn't want him to become angry because Keith was trying to take advantage of me. So I planned to contact your company with my complaint. However, within about 3-5 minutes after Keith left, I heard the toilet self flush again (after it was supposed to have been fixed). So I called your company and spoke with the receptionist. I explained that Keith had just been out to fix my sink and toilet and I asked her to please have him call me because the toilet was still not working properly. She contacted Keith and he did call me back. I explained that the toilet was still self flushing (which he heard during our conversation). He asked me to check the toilet and give him the brand name. Which I did. He said that he had installed universal parts because he didn't have my brand. He said he would have to order the "Sterling" flapper but because of the holiday (this was on Thursday, July 3rd) he wouldn't be able to order them until Monday, so he would plan to bring and install them "first thing, Tuesday morning--about 8:30-9:00" and he would give we a call when he was on he way. We agreed to that. On Tuesday morning around 8:15-8:30, I called Keith to tell him that I had to take my granddaughters to day camp and I should be home by 9:00. He later called to say that he was held up on another job and couldn't get to me that day. We agreed to Friday. However, on Friday, he brought 2 flappers, neither of which worked. So he told me "you might want to consider replacing the toilet". I immediately responded that I was NOT going to replace the entire toilet because of the flapper. He said he would give me an estimate in case I changed my mind. He went to his truck and came back with the estimate (which he took with him when he left). So I asked about a refund on the part I had already paid for and he said that we could minus that out of the replacement cost of the toilet. But I told him "No, no Keith. I already told you that I'm not going to replace the toilet so we can't minus it out. I simply want a refund (which I don't think he was going to offer had I not said something). Then he said that he would give the paperwork to the office administrator and they will issue a refund for the $48. He said it might take up to 2 weeks. I said okay and then called his attention to the fact that he changed his prices on me. I told him that he originally gave me a price of $140 to unclog the sink and $40 to fix the toilet BUT then he converted the 0 to and 8 and I showed him the difference with the other 8's on the page. I also told him that the reason I didn't call him out on it the day it happened was because that big guy who was here is my son and he is very protective and he can go from 0 to 100 in a nanosecond. So I didn't want things to go badly. He claimed that he didn't know what I was talking about converting the 0 but he would get me a refund on the $48. I'm willing to accept that. BUT, I would like someone to contact me to discuss whether the price of $140 is excessive for 20-30 minutes to unclog the kitchen sink. Based on the foregoing, I'm sure you can understand why I'm feeling somewhat taken advantage of.
