Found Reach-In Cooler evaporator frozen solid, Customer is going to thaw for a return trip on Monday. 3/01/21 Found electronic cold control turned almost all the way up. Evaporator was a block of ice although the customer turned it off when I was in the way. Removed front and back evap covers and melted the ice. Blew out drain line with Co2 cartridge. Replaced the evap covers, Vacuumed all the water and dried the bottom, then turned on unit. Set cold control to cut out at 34° and it was cutting in at 39°. Observed it cycle 2 times before leaving. Unit is running good at this time. Manager said he was using the dial in the machine to monitor temp but dial is bad and needs to be replaced as it’s sticking. Will need to order a dial and return. Picture of dial stat is attached in file room. 3/04/21 Replaced thermometer dial and customer stated that unit is still getting to cold, Unit is temping at 23 degrees with thermostat at lowest setting, Probes and thermostat should be replaced, custo

Found Reach-In Cooler temp control contacts stuck open so the condensing unit wouldn’t run. I jumped it out and condensing unit started but the cabinet temp was struggling to get cooler. The expansion valve is bad and is restricting refrigerant flow. Per Corey they would like the parts qwp (expedited freight). 02/03/21 Replaced TXV, filter drier and T-stat. Pressure tested with 200 psi of nitrogen for 15 minutes. Pressure held. Released nitrogen and puked deep vacuum. Turned on unit and observed temp dropping. It not quickly. Adjusted TXV and unit slowly started coming down to temp. Would have liked to see high side pressure a bit higher than what it is, but that’s all I can get out of it. Unit did come down to 34° and shut off. Observed a second cycle. Unit is running good at this time.
