Too Expensive

My garbage disposal was leaking. They gave me an estimate (flat rate) of $750. I got it done by another company for $250. Same disposal in both cases.

Shady

They tried not to tell me that they changed the furnace I purchased with a smaller unit. I purchased a 80k btu furnace and they installed a 60k btu furnace without asking me. I overheard the conversation they were having with their boss and even he didnt tell me they were going to which the furnace. After that they wanted to charge me more for a 60k btu unit than they charged me for a 80k btu unit.

Great all around

Khyrenn has done a fantastic job working on my house. He has excavated my back yard, poured concrete, helped with all of the plumbing, AND he even checked my furnace while he was here.

Efficient but not solved

Service by this tech was efficient and timely. BUT, the issue has not been resolved. He had stated that we would have to watch and see if it has been corrected. It has not.

Upon arrival, I identified frozen water lines, causing a complete loss of water supply to the fixtures. I set up a turbo heater and operated it for about an hour to safely thaw the lines. After the lines were defrosted, I verified that water service was fully restored and the system was functioning correctly. The job was completed successfully, ensuring the home's water supply was operational.

I conducted a thorough furnace inspection, starting with a detailed examination of the flame sensor. I meticulously cleaned the flame sensor to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, I inspected and tightened all electrical and gas connections to prevent any potential leaks or inefficiencies. The furnace is now operating smoothly and efficiently.

We provided estimates for necessary repairs. Prior to starting, all animals in the attic must be removed. Cleaning is not feasible due to fiberglass particulates. Insulation was found in every duct register, indicating widespread contamination. The furnace also has significant fiberglass, dust, and dirt issues. Removing existing fiberglass is ineffective as small particles remain on coils and heat exchangers.

During the furnace inspection, all mechanical components were thoroughly examined and found to be in good working order. Electrical connections were also checked, revealing proper voltage levels. However, the amperage readings were inconsistent. This discrepancy suggests an issue with the electrical supply that requires an electrician's expertise to diagnose and resolve. Further electrical assessment is necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Upon arrival, I discovered water leaking through the ceiling. To locate the source, I cut an access opening in the ceiling and informed the customer that drywall repair was not included in the service. After gaining access, I identified a leaking 90-degree fitting as the cause. I carefully repaired the fitting, ensuring all connections were secure and leak-free. Following the repair, I tested the system thoroughly to confirm that no further leaks were present. The issue was successfully resolved, and the customer was satisfied with the outcome.

I responded to a furnace issue where the gas valve wasn't opening. Tapping and warming the valve resolved the problem temporarily. However, high carbon monoxide levels were detected due to rust in the heating exchanger. After adjusting gas pressures, the levels normalized. Given the valve's failure, I recommend replacing it to prevent future issues. The system is operational, but proactive measures are advised to avoid further disruptions.

Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough inspection and identified a faulty gas valve as the root cause of the system's malfunction. I proceeded to fill out the part order form to expedite the replacement process. To ensure comprehensive diagnostics, I performed a detailed combustion analysis and a thorough heat exchanger camera inspection. This allowed me to confirm the presence of rust and rule out any further issues further down the line. These steps were crucial in providing a complete assessment and ensuring the system's optimal performance.

During the furnace service, I identified that the air filter was excessively dirty, which was impeding system performance. Additionally, the flame sensor was coated with grime, affecting its efficiency. I meticulously cleaned the flame sensor, restoring its functionality. I advised the client to replace the air filter to ensure optimal system operation. After these adjustments, the furnace functioned correctly. Given the system's age, I recommended a comprehensive visual inspection of the heat exchanger during our next scheduled maintenance to preemptively address any potential issues with integral components.

Upon arrival, we identified that the electrical system was equipped with a 30 amp breaker, which was insufficient for the tenant's heating needs. When the tenant activated the heating system, it caused the breaker to trip, disrupting the power supply. We assessed the situation and determined that a 60 amp breaker was necessary to support the heating system's requirements. We promptly sourced and installed the correct 60 amp breaker, ensuring the system was safely and effectively configured. The tenant's heating system is now operational without the risk of tripping the breaker. We have scheduled the next available appointment for Tuesday morning to confirm the system's functionality and address any additional concerns.

Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough inspection and identified that the flame sensor was heavily soiled, preventing the system from recognizing the presence of a flame. I meticulously cleaned the flame sensor, ensuring it was free from any debris or buildup. Following this, I tested the system to confirm that it was operating correctly. The unit is now functioning optimally, and the system is reliably detecting the flame.

Upon inspection, the heat pump was struggling due to the extreme cold, causing the unit to blow cool air. I demonstrated the use of emergency heat to the client, which significantly improved the warmth. The clicking noise was traced to a relay, but no major issues were found. The system checked out and was in working order. The client appreciated the warmer air, maintaining their preferred temperature of 74°.

Upon arrival, we identified several plumbing code violations. The sewer line was severely backed up in the basement, obstructing the plumbing system and preventing its restoration. Due to these unsafe conditions, we were unable to complete the service during this visit. The property is currently uninhabitable. We will return at the earliest available appointment to address the issues, correct the violations, and restore proper operation.

Recently, I replaced the water sensors for a furnace under warranty. The sensors were malfunctioning, causing the furnace to operate inefficiently. I carefully removed the old sensors and installed new ones, ensuring all connections were secure and functioning correctly. The parts and labor were fully covered under the warranty, and the furnace is now operating smoothly. This task required precision and attention to detail to ensure the system's reliability and efficiency.

We responded to a service call regarding an electric furnace issue. The customer reported a loud humming noise and provided audio clips for further analysis. Upon inspection, we found that the transformer was outputting only 17 V, indicating it was failing. This low voltage likely caused the humming noise and prevented the oven from heating. We recommended an electrician visit to inspect the electrical panel and address any additional issues to ensure no further problems exist. The customer was informed about the potential transformer failure and advised to schedule an electrician soon.
