I was highly impressed either way Steve’s work. New install yesterday, but furnace shut off that same evening . Steve came today to check out the issue, and after some problem solving, he figured out it was a ground wire issue. He got it all fixed up and furnace is running again!

Derrick came out late on a very cold night in 2026 in January. He identified the problem quickly and as promised, DOR MAR sent someone (him) back the next day. His troubleshooting was spot on and the replacement part fixed the issue. Thank-you to DOR MAR for honoring the labor and parts warranty and to Derrick for the speedy service.

Great work! Had a super old furnace that broke, of course during the coldest weather. Ben was able to remove it and install the new one in no time. Kept me in the loop about everything, and house went from 40 degrees to 65 super quickly! So grateful he was so knowledgeable and efficient. Couldn’t have asked for a better tech!

Upon arrival, I assessed the system and found it was not operational. The customer reported recent basement work and mentioned noise near the furnace. I checked for high voltage and traced the wires to the shutoff switch. Upon inspection, I discovered a loose fuse. I secured the fuse and restored high voltage to the system. Additionally, I cleaned the flame sensor to ensure optimal performance. The unit is now fully operational.
A Dor-Mar Heating & Air Conditioning technician arrived to address the reported issue. Upon inspection, the technician identified and resolved the problem, ensuring the system was functioning correctly. The technician then conducted a thorough check of the entire system, verifying that all components were operational. The system was tested under various settings to confirm its reliability and efficiency. The customer was informed of the successful resolution and advised on best practices for future maintenance.
Upon inspection, I identified that the thermostat wiring was incorrectly configured. I corrected the wiring by placing the white wire on the W1 terminal. To ensure all heating elements functioned properly, I added a jumper wire from the W1 to the W2 terminal. This adjustment allowed the heating system to operate as intended, providing efficient and reliable heating. The system was tested to confirm that all heating elements were working correctly.
Upon inspection, the unit was found to operate only with the fan on, not in auto mode. The blower speed was notably slower during heating calls compared to fan-only operation. After examining the coil, it was determined to be slightly dirty. Suspecting a faulty blower motor, I placed an order for a replacement part. Additionally, I emailed potential replacement options to the client in case they prefer a new system due to cost considerations.
Upon arriving at the site, I first diagnosed the issue with the heating unit, which had tripped out on the main limit switch. This is a safety mechanism that shuts down the unit when it overheats. I increased the blower fan speed to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating. Additionally, I replaced the old air filter with a new one to enhance the system's efficiency and improve air quality. After these adjustments, I tested the unit to confirm that it was operating correctly and safely.
Upon arrival, I assessed the heating unit and found it was not functioning. The customer had already replaced the igniter, which was completely broken. I examined the system's operation and discovered that the igniter was not receiving voltage. After further investigation, I identified the issue as a faulty circuit board. I confirmed this by testing the board and finding it to be non-functional. I ordered a new circuit board as per the parts order form to resolve the issue.
We received a service call regarding an electric furnace issue. The client reported a strange smoke smell and had shut off the system. Upon inspection, we discovered a bird that had landed on the electric strip heaters and unfortunately died. We carefully removed the bird and thoroughly checked the resistance heaters for any damage. After ensuring everything was in good working order, we restored the system. The furnace is now operating efficiently with proper amperage and voltage, and the client is satisfied with the service provided.
Upon arrival, we assessed the situation involving frozen lines in the home, a consequence of the recent storm. The client informed us that the lines had been frozen for some time. With two bathrooms in the home, we prioritized our efforts to ensure both were operational. We meticulously inspected and addressed the frozen lines, taking necessary measures to thaw and restore functionality. Given the severity of the issue, we communicated to the client that while we aimed to complete the job efficiently, it might take more than an hour. Our focus remained on delivering effective and reliable service throughout the process.
The customer reported a gas smell near the furnace. After discussing with the son, it was confirmed that the gas company had identified a leak leading to the furnace. We tested all connections to the gas valve and found no external leaks. The gas company held a detector near the fresh air intake, which beeped, indicating an internal gas valve leak. We shut off the system and turned off the gas supply until the gas valve can be replaced.
I responded to a boiler issue, discovering that the system struggled to maintain comfort near a large living room window. After explaining the system's age and limitations, the client expressed interest in a new boiler. I confirmed the need for replacement and arranged for a site engineer to verify. The boiler is currently operational, but a replacement is necessary soon to ensure ongoing comfort.
Upon inspection, the gas well was experiencing significantly reduced pressure, impacting its efficiency. I conducted a thorough diagnostic assessment, identifying the root cause as a blockage in the gas line. I carefully cleaned and cleared the obstruction, ensuring the gas line was free of debris. Following this, I tested the pressure levels, confirming they had returned to optimal functioning. The gas well is now operating efficiently, providing reliable energy.
Recently, I completed a comprehensive installation and maintenance service for a residential HVAC system. This involved a thorough inspection of the existing unit, followed by the installation of a high-efficiency model. I ensured all components were functioning optimally and replaced any worn parts. Additionally, I provided a detailed cleaning of the system to enhance efficiency and longevity. The work was completed with a 10-year parts and labor warranty, ensuring peace of mind for the homeowner.
Upon inspection, I identified that the L1-L2 wiring at the furnace was incorrectly connected, leading to a tripped breaker. I meticulously rewired the air handler, ensuring all connections were secure and correctly aligned with industry standards. After completing the rewiring, I conducted thorough testing to confirm that the heating system was functioning properly. The system responded as expected, and the issue was successfully resolved.
On Tuesday, I arrived promptly to begin the job. First, I assessed the existing water heater to determine the specifications needed for a replacement. After confirming the model and size, I proceeded to remove the old unit, ensuring all connections were safely disconnected and the area was cleared. I then installed the new water heater, carefully connecting all necessary pipes and ensuring everything was secure and leak-free. Throughout the process, I maintained a clean workspace and disposed of any waste properly. Once the installation was complete, I tested the water heater to ensure it was functioning correctly. The job was completed efficiently, and the client was satisfied with the results. On Monday, I ordered the replacement water heater, ensuring it would be delivered in time for the installation.
